Rejuvenation/Relaxation & Deep Tissue/Therapeutic Massage

Most clients who see me for a massage either need to destress their bodies from daily activities of lifting, twisting and carrying or just need to unwind from the mental stresses of life. A one-hour massage generally includes half an hour on your back, neck and shoulders followed by half an hour on your arms and both sides of your legs and feet. Some people don't want their feet touched and use that time on their shoulders; some need extra time on the calves of their legs. You get to say how you would like your hour of relaxation spent. I am confident to say that I am the "elder" of massage in Craigieburn and nearby, with 25 years of muscles and experience. For $90 I think you are getting the best value money can buy!

Pregnancy Massage

I am surprised when my clients tell me they waited until the end of the 12th week before coming for a massage!  With a trained Pregnancy Massage Therapist, there should be no reason to wait until that time.  If you think about it, women who have regular massages might be having a massage within the first few weeks without knowing it!  So, if you need a massage and your nausea/vomiting is manageable, then come and see me for a rewarding, time out, relaxation and therapeutic massage.

One of the things not usually covered in massage schools is the vital importance of mum's recovery in the first 6-10 weeks post childbirth.  Actually, it is simply a reflection of our Western Culture and the focus on the baby and the baby's health and development over the top of mother's health.  However, unless mum is healthy or regaining her health, how can the baby gain health from its source of life, it's mother?

Benefits of Home Visit Massage first 6-10 weeks Post Childbirth
  • Mum gets to stay home and rest - extremely important if she is to regain her health quickly.  If she does not recover well in the first 6 weeks post childbirth, it can take many years to recover.  Consider the number of women having babies every 2 to 3 years!  You must recover from one before you start the next.  You would not run your car on an empty tank - why would you run your body??
  • Massage will help her body to heal by both removing toxins and improving oxygen flow - a weekly massage would be best if you cannot afford one several times a week;
  • As mentioned above, massage will promote vitality and decreases fatigue - just what you need at this time, right?;
  • As above, helps to soothe and relax nervous tension and provide grounding, which can improve your sleep.  This is extremely important at this time;
  • Can relieve anxiety or depression caused by hormonal changes - just what you really need.  I think if we can help prevent postnatal depression then we are doing our community a great favour!

But don't stop there!  Six weeks is just the beginning.  Everyone varies so if you need to continue weekly for 12 weeks or 20 weeks, then that is what you should do.  Once you feel like you have recovered then you can return to a fortnightly or monthly massage, as you prefer.  Don't forget, childbirth is not the end it is the beginning.  You are going to have many episodes of sleep challenges and stress for at least the next 40-50 years ... or forever!!  Ask your mother and/or grandmother!!
