The general belief in Natural Medicine is that emotional and psychological stress, if not managed over a long period, quite possibly will lead to a physical manifestation, such as heart attack or cancer (in the extreme).
There are a number of studies that have shown that with Depression, Anxiety and Stress, for instance, there are chemical changes in the brain. Our whole body is run by chemicals and hormones so how these changes affect us physically is a subject of much research.
