The use of glass suction cups to stimulate Qi and blood flow, activate acupuncture points and release toxins. The process involves holding the cups over a flame to burn off the oxygen inside them, then placing them immediately on the skin, creating a vacuum. The purpose of this is to move Qi and blood, release toxins, ease tension and encourage the body to heal itself.
