Hypnotherapy for Smoking Cessation/To Quit Smoking
In 1992 New Scientist Magazine published the results of an extensive clinical study on the most effective smoking cessation methods. A meta-analysis, statistically combining the results of more than 600 studies (over 72,000 individual cases) showed that single session hypnosis increased a smoker's success chance by 1000% from 6% to 60%.
Despite the huge increase in the chances of successfully quitting smoking, at Paul Elsey Hypnotherapy we believe that the already high probability of success from a single hypnotherapy session is made even higher by a reinforcing session soon afterwards.
Paul Elsey Hypnotherapy uses a minimum two session approach; the first session will last approx 1.5 - 2 hours, where a thorough in depth review of your smoking habit, lifestyle, stressors and motivations will take place. A range of hypnotherapeutic techniques will be used to dismantle the habit and focus on positive reinforcement.
Two weeks later you will attend a second session, where progress will be reviewed and strengthened by further hypnotherapeutic techniques and audio recordings for you to continue with at home, as further reinforcement.
